Swans Announce Final Concerts

In 2016, Swans released The Glowing Man, the final album under their “current incarnation.” They’ve now announced their final three concerts with the relatively consistent lineup of musicians who have been playing with founding member Michael Gira since he reformed Swans in 2010 after a 13-year hiatus. They will perform November 2-4 at Warsaw in Brooklyn. “There will be no other East Coast shows surrounding this last stand, and this is it. Finished,” Gira shared on Facebook. See the full list of tour dates here.

In recent years, Swans have been reissuing their past albums, including 1995’s The Great Annihilator, 1992’s Love of Life, 1991’s White Light From the Mouth of Infinity, and their debut album Filth. Gira has promised that he will continue to release new music, but with a “revolving cast.”
