Four new Gorillaz songs have appeared on Tidal. They are called “Ascension” [ft. Vince Staples], “We Got the Power” [ft. Jehnny Beth of Savages], “Saturnz Barz” [ft. Popcaan], and “Andromeda” [ft. D.R.A.M.]. The tracks are not yet available to stream. Pitchfork has reached out to Gorillaz and Tidal reps for more information. Update: The album’s title (Humanz) and release date (April 28) have now been revealed, as have the full list of guests.
Later today, from 3 p.m. Eastern, Damon Albarn (who is celebrating his 49th birthday) will appear on MistaJam’s BBC Radio 1 show “to premiere brand new music from Gorillaz.” It is not yet known what song (or songs) he will debut. Earlier this year, Gorillaz shared the Benjamin Clementine-featuring track “Hallelujah Money,” which will appear on their new album—set for a 2017 release.
