Among the many releases available in the United Kingdom on Record Store Day (April 22), are three Spacemen 3 reissues. All three are out via Space Age Recordings. Today, the band have asked fans not to purchase the records. In a post on Spiritualized’s social pages, Spacemen 3’s Jason Pierce and Pete Kember wrote, “We are currently in legal dispute with Gerald Palmer due to him depriving us of our rights in our music and other intellectual property rights relating to Spacemen 3. Any monies from those sales will go directly to him and help fund his side of the dispute.” Read the note below. Pitchfork has reached out to Palmer’s representatives for comment.
