Mary J. Blige Announces Strength of a Woman Tour

In support of her latest album, Strength of a Woman, Mary J. Blige has announced a summer tour. Blige will perform songs from her feature-studded LP -- which has contributions from Kanye West, Missy Elliot, Kaytranada, and Hit-Boy -- across the United States and Europe. Starting July 30 in Chicago, soul singer Lalah Hathaway will support the U.S. leg of Blige’s Strength of a Woman Tour, which ends September 9 in Oakland. The tour follows Blige's recent trek with Maxwell, 2016's King + Queen of Hearts World Tour, which has been made into a new 20-minute documentary.

Blige has also contributed to the charitable “7-inches for Planned Parenthood” compilation -- featuring Chvrches, Feist, Björk, Bon Iver, St. Vincent, Sleater-Kinney, Foo Fighters, comedian Zach Galifianakis, author Margaret Atwood, street artist Shepard Fairey, and more -- which is slated for release in the forthcoming weeks.
